The Suffolk Y JCC’s New York State licensed Day Care Center provides day care for children 3 months to 5 years, Monday through Friday, 6:30am-6pm.

Breast Feeding Class   

This one session, two hour class discusses the “How-To’s” of breast feeding and much more. The purpose of this program is to help mothers feel more confident in this bonding experience. Class meets once a month.

Lamaze Class   

The childbirth educational classes are provided by a Lamaze International Certified R.N.  The goal is to fully prepare students for their labor, delivery and recovery period thereby helping them feel more comfortable and confident.  Class size averages 4-7 couples. A session meets once a week for four weeks througout the year.

Newborn Infant Care Class   

This one session, two hour class teaches “Parents-To-Be” basic care needed for their newborn. Participants are encouraged to bring their own doll, diaper, and receiving blanket for a hands on experience. Class meets once a month.

R.N. Home Visit   

Participants in our Lamaze class will have the opportunity, at no charge, for a one time home visit by a registered nurse. This 60 minute visit will take place within the first two weeks after arriving home from the hospital. The nurse will assist the new parents with newborn care.

Totsaver   

 This one session, two hour class gives participants the opportunity to experience a hands on training in infant and toddler CPR and relief of airway obstructions. Class meets twice a month.
